A beautiful smile is one of the most sought after features in cosmetic medicine. People from all backgrounds and professions want a white, straight smile, and we can help make it a reality. Whether through minor adjustments or major changes, cosmetic dentistry aims to help people feel good about the way their teeth look.
There are many procedures that can improve your teeth and correct issues such as discoloration, chips, gaps, or irregularities. Common options include bonding, veneers, bleaching, reshaping, and crowns. In addition to cosmetic improvements, these procedures can help solve other oral problems as well.
Procedures can vary in cost, complexity, and results. The condition of your teeth is a major factor in finding the right treatment for your situation. That's why we take the time to gather all the necessary information and discuss all the options before a cosmetic procedure.
We offer multiple whitening options here at Summit Dental, from one-time brightening to in-office sessions that really give you that beautiful white smile! We even offer a whitening system that works wonders on teeth damaged by tetracycline staining. See some of our before and after photos below!
Worn, chipped or stained teeth are hard to hide and can significantly affect your confidence when smiling or speaking. Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin and made from beautiful dental porcelain. These restorations can conceal damage for a stunning smile!
We can customize your porcelain veneers to conceal a wide range of common cosmetic imperfections, such as chips, cracks, gaps, misalignment, and stubborn discoloration – all in one treatment.
Despite being incredibly thin, each veneer is strong enough to withstand normal biting forces. With consistent oral hygiene and regular exams and cleanings.
Invisalign® treatment makes it easy to obtain the comfort and confidence that comes with an even, healthy smile.
In addition to being unattractive, crooked teeth make it more difficult to keep your teeth clean, and can cause long-term problems with bite alignment that may lead to excessive wear of the teeth or even TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder).
In the long run, these problems can cost much more to repair than simply straightening your teeth with Invisalign® treatment today.
If you have ever wanted to straighten your teeth, but don’t like the look of traditional braces, Invisalign® treatment is a great option. Invisalign utilizes tooth colored attachments and clear plastic medical-grade trays to move your teeth into a more desired position.
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign® aligners are clear and convenient. You’ll wear each aligner for two weeks, gradually moving your teeth into place. You can remove the aligners to eat, brush your teeth or on special occasions. Best of all, with the virtually undetectable devices, no one needs to know that you’re straightening your teeth.
Every case is different, but generally speaking you will be in Invisalign® treatment for about a year. Some will take less time, others a little more. Dr. Williams is particular about making sure your bite is correct when you are finished, so sometimes a few more aligners will be ordered to ensure a great result!
You should wear your aligners as much as possible – ideally 22 hours a day – for the best and quickest results!! You can, of course, take them out to eat and for special events, but the more you wear them the better the results will be!
The composite attachments we use on some of the teeth are used to help with certain movements. Some movements just can’t be achieved without an attachment, and others become less predictable. For best results, attachments are usually required in some places, but we will only use them if we have to!
